A weekend of literature, laughter and inspiration - what more would I need t0 get the creative mojo back into action... Ballarat Writers have just produced their first Festival - a jam-packed treat of literary discussion, a debate on Fixing Democracy, children's events and workshops... There was more than one place I wanted to be at any one time, but a highlight for me was the talk by Graeme Simsion (The Rosie Project) and co-author wife, Anne Buist discussing their journey in Two Steps Forward, walking and writing the Camino Santiago trail. I'm now reading the book, taking two steps with their characters, Martin and Zoe - I'm slowing down, relishing each step...
From Zoe's story : " I walked for four hours alone in the mist, following the scallop shells, beginning to wonder if I would ever find a town."
